If you have a question or cannot find something in the library, please ASK. For a student's book review from our library, click on "files" in the red box immediately above this sentance and then click on "book reviews" when the page loads. We invite students and teachers to take full advantage of all the resources offered through the Library. Research and checking books out begins before school each morning, at 7:30 a.m., and continues throughout the day both during and between classes. The Library remains open through the end of the school day. Discuss any special scheduling needs you may have with your friendly librarian. Books are checked out for two weeks and may usually be renewed if there are no holds on the book. Up to three books may be borrowed at a time. No new material may be checked out if the student does not have a clear account. Fines for overdue books are $.05 a day per book. Students are responsible for paying the cost of an item that is lost or damaged. Some reference books and back issues of magazines may be borrowed overnight with special permission -- they are due the following morning. Overdue fines are $.25 per day for reference materials and magazines. The library now has 3 new Pocket Prep. electronic devices that will aid students as they prepare for the ACT/SAT test. Students may check this item out just the same as a standard book. If a student would like to checkout Pocket Prep ACT/SAT, a Pocket Prep parent release form must be signed by the parent BEFORE it can be checked out. This form can be found on the "forms" link on this page or one can be picked up in the library. Audio books If a student would like to checkout an iPod shuffle, an iPod parent release form must be signed by the parent BEFORE it can be checked out. This form can be found on the "forms" link on this page or one can be picked up in the library. We currently have the following titles in audio format:
- 1984
- Animal Farm
- Frankenstein
- Hamlet
- Huckleberry Finn
- Jane Eyre
- McBeth
- Metamorphosis
- Night
- Pride and Prejudice
- Romeo and Juliet
- The Fall of the House of Usher
- The Giver
- The Great Gatsby
- The Hobbit
- The Red Badge of Courage
- The Scarlet Letter
Audio books have different fine amounts than traditional books, ask for details at the circulation desk. Computers are available to type a report . Students should save all work to a personal storage device (USB or floppy). We have Internet access for school research. Due to budget cuts this year, there will be NO pages free from the printer connected to any computer. A student must come to the circulation desk and tell us the number of the computer that will be sending the print job because each computer has print limiting software that locks out printing until we release the job to the printer. This software allows us to be more efficient in printing. Students may also make photocopies on a student copy machine in the library ($.05 per copy, none free). Find time to stop by the Library and browse for a good book.
