Our school signature is our ability to work as a community of students, parents and staff to meet the varied needs of all. We work collaboratively toward achieving high academic standards and promoting personal growth in order to prepare our students to become successful members of society. Everyone is encouraged to find a way to become involved in our school community --whether as a student, a staff member, or parent who attends Hartselle events, supports booster organizations, or simply a caring parent who makes sure that the process of teaching and learning does not stop when school dismisses each day. Together we work to make Hartselle High School a great place for all of our students to articulate and fulfill their personal, academic, and career goals in a creative and intellectual manner. This is my first year to serve as the principal of Hartselle High School and I am honored and excited to be here. There is an outstanding faculty at HHS working with exceptionally bright and motivated students. What a winning combination! Prior to coming to Hartselle, I served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal at Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa for 17 years. I have worked on Senator Richard Shelby's staff and served as assistant to the President of Spring Hill College in Mobile. I am a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School and hold a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts in Secondary Education, Class A Certification in Education Administration, and a Juris Doctorate all from the University of Alabama. I also hold an Educational Specialist Degree in Education Administration from the University of Montevallo. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can provide more information about Hartselle High or the Hartselle community for you. We always welcome your involvement and support of our school.
