From time to time, the school system must make decisions regarding the weather. In every case, safety of all children is the first concern. The school and school system is always in constant contact with EMA officials. If a weather emergency occurs while students are in school, students will be taken to a designated spot within the building.
Buses are not permitted to run during any weather event, not are we permitted to allow drivers to leave. Parents may certainly come in and check out your own child at any time (though we certainly do not recommend this). We are not permitted to allow you to take other students with you. We encourage parents to not be on the roadways themselves in bad weather. Students are safer in a secure building more than they would be in a car or in many homes. Please have patience and understanding with us when the call is made to dismiss school early or to hold students until severe weather passes.
